Debbie Massie is passionate about education, attested to by her professional and community service work. A graduate of Longwood College and James Madison University, she has been a speech language pathologist for 36 years in Culpeper and Fauquier counties. She has a long record of volunteerism and board work in Rappahannock and beyond, having served on the boards of the Mountain Vista Governor’s School and the Headwaters Educational Foundation, where she has been instrumental in the Next Step scholarship awards process. Massie is also a 4-H volunteer. Debbie and husband, Jim, own a beef cattle farm. Their children, David and Caroline, are graduates of Rappahannock County Public Schools.
