Thomas B. Massie, Jr., DVM, was raised in Washington, VA, and is a 1987 graduate of Rappahannock County Public Schools. He received his BS in Animal Science from Virginia Tech in 1991 and his DVM from the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, in 1995. Dr. Massie began his practice career at Loudoun Veterinary Service in Purcellville, VA, and in 1998 returned to Rappahannock County to open what has become Rose Hill Veterinary Practice, P.C. Rose Hill is a full-service veterinary practice located in Washington, VA, and offers top-notch care for large and small animals with 18 full-time employees. In his spare time, Dr. Massie works with his family in the management of their beef cattle farm. He is also passionate about working with local families through the 4-H program and is an active member of several professional mentor programs. When not practicing or farming, he enjoys fishing, camping, bicycling, travelling, and other outdoor activities with his wife, Loretta, and three children (Emily 22, Jack 20, and Olivia 15).
